About

I became a Freelance Cartographer about 6 months after participating in the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas project run by ProFantasy, the developers of CC2. I helped to make maps for the project and learned a great deal about using Campaign Cartographer 2.

The following spring, there was a call for a freelance cartographer on the CC2-list. I responded and began making maps for Basement Games' World of Juravia setting. A few months after that, I decided to become a full time Freelance Cartographer. The work is definitely fun and interesting. I don't plan to become rich doing freelancing, but I wouldn't change a thing.

As for CC2, it's not an easy program to master, unless you are familiar with CAD programs and I'm still learning new techniques. Belonging to the CC2-list, however, has been the greatest help. ProFantasy employees participate on the list and are extremely patient and helpful. For this, I want to thank Simon Rogers, Linda Kekumu, Ian R. Malcomson, and Jon Crew for their patience, support and encouragement and for making a great set of programs even better!

If such an award existed, ProFantasy should receive the Golden Compass and Scalebar of Excellence.

I also want to thank the following CC2 list members for their help and advice: Morgan Olden, Chris Conboy, Peter K. Campbell and John Csaky. And thanks to the rest of the CC2 list in general.
